The Hell's Gate

They were like swarming bees,
first came in hundreds,
then in thousands.
Kept vigil, protested at the Gate of heavenly peace,
which led to the forbidden city.

Chaos was the spring,
'Ho Yaobang' was long gone.
The promised republic never saw the sun.
The thousands became the symbol
for the forever revolution.

Tanks came in with blazing guns
the spring was long gone.
Blood draining into the gutter,
bodies incinerated.
Young turks became young terrorists.

The flag was never the real blood red -
'not until this time.'
